We're Back!

We had a blast at the beach with my mom, I didn't want to leave! Macyn was a little hesitant at first when she saw the ocean...very typical of Macyn! After several melt-downs and mommy giving in to Macyn screaming for her "sassy," she pointed at the ocean and said, "big pool!" She loved the aquarium and especially the "ta-tule" (turtles :) Several times this weekend, I found myself just watching her every move...the smallest things make her let out the most precious giggles and squeals. Every time I hear that giggle, it makes me fall in love with her all over again! Thanks Mom for a wonderful week at the beach. Here are some of our favorite pics from the beach!!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy

My plan was to wake up early, cook Eric his favorite blueberry muffins and have Macyn give him breakfast in bed...well thank goodness that I'm not a stickler for sticking to plans. I went to three different grocery stores and NO BLUEBERRY MUFFINS, and it's 9:06 and my sweet little Macyn is still asleep! Oh well, at least I tried. Eric, Macyn wanted me to tell you that you are the BEST DADDY in the world and she will always be your little girl! To my amazing husband on Father's Day...thank you for all that you do for our family every day, it is truly appreciated. I thank God every day that Macyn has you for her Father. We love you very much and wish you a very Happy Father's Day!!!

My baby isn't a baby anymore

Yesterday, Eric brought home a potty for Macyn...her own BIG GIRL potty! I don't know if we are ready for this!!! Macyn has been letting us know(in her own little way) when she has "pee-peed" or "shoo" in her diaper. I felt like it was yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital and now she has her own potty. So far, I think that she is just using it as another place to read all of her books! I'll definitely keep you posted on Macyn's Potty Progress!!! Wish us luck :) Sorry for all of the naked baby pics...they're my favorites!!!

Daddy's girls!

Watching my wife have my daughter was the greatest moment of my life. The person who I love most in this world is now having the only person that could tie her for tops on that list. It took me a good four months to get comfortable with the whole thing, it all seemed surreal. My two girls are the greatest things in my life. For me to have a daughter is so great. Having a girl gave me a false sense of confidence that she wouldn't get hurt as much. WRONG. Every day I come home from work, my baby has a new boo-boo. I work a lot during the week and I only see her for three hours a day tops. So on weekends, it is hard to drag me away from her. Think about it, in a five day week there are 120 hours. I get 15 of those. Both of my girls get all my attention on the weekends. Except for the occasional golf game. My daughter is a lot like me. For those who know me you know I don't lack for self confidence, and I think my little girl is the same way. Look out world, Macyn's coming.

Like father like daughter...

I'm going to try and post this video of sweet little Macyn playing in her pool! She was having a wonderful time splashing around and her Daddy(the bath taker in the house) decides that she needs bubbles in her pool!!!! Needless to say...she is spoiled rotten, but that's ok, right???
